I got some rather bad news this evening, concerning my medical bills. I've got no clue how to be an adult, so it was jarring and upsetting to find I had not only one bill, but two form the hospital and its lab! For months now I've had an infection in my salivary gland, that has been being fought down with water and antibiotics. I went to an ENT specialist, who took a sample from me to be sent out and have a culture performed on it. And that's when the bills came... My first bill was for 138 dollars and some change. Not a big deal, right? Right. I had a job at the time, and I figured a month of saving checks would cover most of it. A second month of saving would completely get rid of the bill.
Yesterday, I found out my Seasonal hire is not going to keep me on as a part timer. My last day is January 17th.
Today, I found out that the hospital's lab billed me. The number? 260 dollars. I owe nearly Four hundred dollars for a syringe of puss a woman took out of my neck. I need the money more than ever. Unfortunately, this seasonal job- while I applied to save money for BronyCon- I had to use my checks for Christmas presents for my boyfriend and his family.
I am now taking Traditional and Digital commissions to help pay for my medical bills. I will link to a photobucket I have, full of traditional and digital works. Prices will be here.
